Overview:
Cox eLearning Consultants (COX) is a fast-growing professional services firm specializing in marketing services and business consulting in the corporate education, eLearning and HR industries. Our clients include Fortune 1000 corporations as well as educational & HR technology companies. We help other technology businesses to market and sell more effectively.
This is a part-time contract position of 20-30 hours per week that can lead to full-time for the right person. We are looking for an individual who has skills both in the technology of multimedia, graphics and webinars, but also has the experience and enthusiasm for sales.
Your services will be used internal for Cox eLearning Consultants as well as a service for Cox eLearning Consultants' clients.
Your time will be split between multiple locations, including (a) working virtually out of your home, which is where the majority of the work will be conducted (b) when on location, you are mostly in the Bay Area, but could be anywhere, (c) at times at COX’s facilities in Livermore. You must have a fully operational office in your home and own all the multimedia, graphics and business software that is required.
This person must be able to work well in an office with diverse staff, and must have an awareness and understanding of cultural, racial, religious, and economic differences.
Qualifications:
- Portfolio featuring multimedia and graphics projects you personally created
- 2-3 years of related work experience or equivalent training & experience
- Ability to design marketing materials and standardize style sheets
- Proven previous experience in sales and strong personal-professional communications skills
- Attention to detail & brand consistency
- Must reside near Cupertino in order to be readily available for quick-assigned projects
- Must possess or be proficient in the following:
Required
- Video editing - software & experience (e.g. Premiere)

Audio editing – software & experience
- Desktop publishing - software & experience with Adobe InDesign
- Graphics - software & experience (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Screen capture and authoring - software & experience (e.g. Camtasia, Captivate)
- MS Office – software & experience (e.g. PowerPoint, Word, Publisher)
Preferred
- Web development software – software & experience (e.g. Dreamweaver & Flash)
- Advanced video editing tools (e.g. Final Cut Pro, Avid)
- Flash programming
- Own a high-definition professional video camera
- Studio production – lighting, sound, backdrops, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities
Technical
- Produce business webinars and webcasts
- Produce literature and other collateral for COX and COX clients
- Other Audio and video support
- Sales
- Sell COX services
- Sell services by COX clients & partners
Initially, 70% of your time will be spent in Sales and 30% in technical support.
Secondary Responsibilities
Any or all of the following:
Technical
- Produce business videos
- Serve as a videographer
- Graphics design and editing.
- Assist Cox eLearning Consultants with some aspects of the design and look & feel of our website
- Work with Cox eLearning Consultants clients for the delivery of graphics, desktop publishing and related services
- Create projects in Flash
- Sales
- Help prepare presentations in PowerPoint and with other software programs
- Help manage CRM system
Other
Other marketing, sales & technical support functions, as assigned
Compensation:
Commonly, we assign a price per project, which you will agree to hold firmly to. For hourly work, we pay $20/hr plus incentives to start. Significant income increases are possible over time.
